The albacore tuna puréed w miracle whip and mustard is good. I even was able to purée a hard boiled egg into it and tasted fine. Spread it over whole grain saltines like a patte.

I just walked a mile. In the rain. Which was perfect because you couldn't see the tears on my face. Not tears because it hurt or was hard or I was tired. Tears because I realized THIS TIME, if I do the work, IT WILL WORK. I'm not some freakish person who can't lose weight NOW. :)

Trying to pull myself out of this first month funk and get my game face on. Just made Protein Jello and protein sweet tea. (Decaf, sweetened with Splenda)

I just had the Danon lite n fit Greek yogurt (vanilla) lunch. I love the fact it has 12g of Protein. I'm in a food rut as well. Glad I pulled out the page.

For dinner tonight I'm having a turkey meatball with a touch of marinara and Parmesan. You could purée that. Use cottage cheese instead of parm to up the Protein.< /p>

Made a mistake :( Now I am suffering. Why did I do that? I ate 1 tsp of low fat, vanilla ice cream...ooh the sugar did me in I guess. Stupid, Stupid, Stupid me. We finished a late lunch and My son was next to me with a small bowl of low fat ice cream and I thought one tsp won't hurt, so I took a tsp and put it with a little unflavored Protein Powder to make it "healthier" so I thought. Nope. I guess I don't have to worry about Milk of Magnesia now. Just wish I didn't have the cramps too. Yuck. Be warned. :(

How long after surgery did you have a BM?

5 days for me and it was barely a poop. Now it's about every 3 or 4 days. I'm still not regular, but our food I take is so small there is not much to expel.

I had no trouble getting in and out of bed. I sleep with a small pillow pressed on my tummy. I find if I sit straight up for too long, it is a bit painful.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
