Redoableme 60 Posted December 26, 2012 I've gotten headaches too but I figure it's because I'm not eating. I could be wrong though lol
thisshizzisbananas 97 Posted December 26, 2012 Me too I've gotten a headache everyday since the surgery. It doesn't happen until later in the day but its been everyday. I'm sorry you're having them too, but in a way glad I'm not the only one! Lol. Maybe we are letting ourselves get dehydrated? You think? What is your Fluid intake like? OleHippieGal 275 Posted December 26, 2012 I can only drink the lactase milk and I use the fat free kind with my injury chocolate splendor love it. I even bought some extract flavorings to use. Almond and mint and coconut. It's so good. Love the injury chicken broth. Of course this could all change after surgery but hope not. Have to do my breathing exercises and it's so cold outside right now can't go walking. This is going to be a long week I know it. But have alot of stuff to do before surgery. Get all the Christmas stuff down. Change linens on my bed clean my bathroom. Get all clothes washed up. Go to store one more time to find liquid Tylenol and gas x. All I say is Jesus take my hand and guide me please 3 snow25, Vicki Loichinger and one4ozzie reacted to this
one4ozzie 434 Posted December 26, 2012 Has anyone been waking up with a speeding pulse? I thought it was the shakes but I realized this morning it's my pulse. Once I move around, I believe it normalizes. Once I realized it was my pulse, I tried taking it and the movement slowed it down. Headaches could be due to lack of sugar in foods maybe (kind of like a caffeine withdrawal), lack of food or some dehydration. Gen :-)
one4ozzie 434 Posted December 26, 2012 Also just got out of the shower, which mine are generally hot. I started feeling weak, nauseated, and dizzy. Got out took my BP and my pulse was high. No more hot showers :-( anyone else have this issue? Gen :-)
snow25 188 Posted December 26, 2012 Me too I've gotten a headache everyday since the surgery. It doesn't happen until later in the day but its been everyday. I had gotten headaches since surgery, which is pretty rare for me. In the hospital it was bad, but sat home not as much. No idea what that is about. I am 6 days post op now and my "meals" are like 2 sips of shake. It is really hard for me to get 1/4 cup down in one setting. I had to switch up on doctor's orders because he prescribed optisource shakes and they are disgusting. I tried for a few days and could only get about 1/4 cup all day. Now I'm switching it up adding Protein Powder to sf pudding, chicken broth, etc. I'm able to get more Protein in this way. It's really crazy that it is a struggle to get 200 calories, 24 Proteins, and 48 oz of Water a day!

Dehydration effects every part of your body. I have only taken short showers and that hasn't been a problem.

Redoableme 60 Posted December 26, 2012 Hot showers always makes your pulse rise. Learned that 20 years ago! Freaked me out too! Lol Its not really a bad thing, just your body responding to the temp change.

Our bodies are definitely adjusting to all our changes. But I would rather been safe then sorry.
