Water - Favorite Cup

Recommended Posts

I have been thinking about Water as well I feel like I am still trying to figure out how much I can drink and how often my doctor say that I should have 64 oz a day but it seems impossible with the meals and having to wait half an hour before and after. I have found a good water bottle at GNC that has a wire whisk in ths bottom this is great if I want to add crystal light or what not I have had craving for lemonade so that is what I put in there. It also measures on the side so I can keep track of how much. Not sitting that is helpful but that's for the vent lol

I have NEVER been able to do 64 oz of liquid a day even without a pouch. Im just not a drinker. I'm drinking as much as I can and making sure my urine is pretty clear which means I'm hydrated. (I know TMI) I try to do no less than 40. The PA told me that was the min. It's just hard...

I have a couple cups with markings that I use so I know how much I'm drinking. I have an app on my phone that reminds me to sip, that probably helps the most!

I am with you.drinking is super hard. I probably would lose more if I could ever get down more Water. I know I am not getting enough but I chip away at it all day every day

I use a app called " Water your body" --( i think) but i still forget to drink! . I use a regular bottle of water ( 750 ml) from any brand and keep refilling it . I still wish i could drink more. At least its not summer ...

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
