Bump In The Road...

Recommended Posts

I've been second guessing myself lately and getting scared cause it will be a life changer and I can't see myself thin and it's taking a toll on me mentally. I've gotten all my doctor appointments out of the way and have just been waiting for break in between semesters at school.

But now, last month I had to have a surgery because I kept having pain in my lower abdomen and my doctor says I have atypical endometriosis and it couldn't be taken out because it was on a blood vessel and have to have 6 month treatment of Lupron to put me through menopause (I'm only 22!!) and I'm not sure how this will effect my surgery :/ I just want this to happen already!!!!!!! Any one else have this or know anything on the topic and how it will effect my surgery or having future children??

Sorry to hear, but did u ask ur doc how this will all affect u. He/she is the best person to ask. If they give u a go go thru with it. Ur mind is ur worst enemy. Just because u get the surgery doesn't mean u have to be thin. Currently I'm a 24 and I just wanna get back to a 12 lowest 10..... so I'm gonna still have some meat and my curves....

Yeah I don't think I'll ever be like a 2 or anything I'm going for a 12 as well. I'm at a 28 right now, and I need to contact my dr for surgery again and make an appt or something to ask about the endo and such. I'm in the middle of insurance changing (dropping state aid just gonna have united health care but that's better anyways lol) I guess I'm just procrastinating but I want the change to happen but I'm scared things will change too much I guess or my bf will leave or something idk

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
