Stephanie 49 Posted November 25, 2012 So I can have cottage, yogurt, cheese, etc. I had oatmeal with milk the other day and felt crappy after eating it. Last night I tried having some skim milk and I felt like crap after having a few sips. Today I still fill like crap. I feel like I have to throw up and I can't go to the bathroom number 2 at all. I don't know what to do!
slowtogo 301 Posted November 25, 2012 You might be lactose intolerant...try soy or almond milk.
Stephanie 49 Posted November 26, 2012 I like soy so I am going to get soy. But why can I eat the other things with issues? Stephanie
slowtogo 301 Posted November 26, 2012 Cottage, yogurt and cheese are fermented milk I believe. Reg. milk bothers some, not others.
Stephanie 49 Posted November 26, 2012 Okay. That is good to know! Anything I can do to get rid of the having to throw up feeling. I drank the milk last night and still have that feeling! Ugh. Stephanie
bakawaka 108 Posted November 26, 2012 I grew up allergic to dairy (causes Migraines for me) and learned to love soy milk early in life. There actually is soy cheese and all sorts of substitutes for yoghurt. I have switched to almond milk (unsweetened - and it's lower in calories than milk plus it is calcium-enriched). nickster81 19 Posted November 26, 2012 I like soy milk because it has higher Protein than almond or rice milk. Lactaid is okay too
Stephanie 49 Posted November 26, 2012 I used to drink soy milk for a few months a couple years ago. Just went back to skim milk. I love milk and use to drink cups of it. I wasnt able to do that with soy.
