cooksie 124 Posted November 25, 2012 Thanks ladies, I am doing everything that I should be doing. I don't eat until I get the "full" feeling but I do eat what I think is enough. I have lost 35 lbs so far. surgiversary 10/09/12~235 lbs
stellar313 26 Posted November 25, 2012 My surgery was 10/1/12 and I have lost 40 lbs, so I know how you feel. It came off pretty fast at first but now it is creeping slowly. I guess as long as it is moving in the right direction. It probably didn't help that it took the whole first week postop to get back to my preop weight (I came home from the hospital with 8 extra lbs of Fluid - not included in the 40). The nurse said at this point 20-30% weight loss is normal, I am at 20%. It is kind of discouraging because I lost 44 lbs in the 3 months before surgery. I just need to remember that I could not have maintained that without the surgery. I know I need to step up my excercise. I was walking pretty regularly but the weather in Ohio has curbed that lately. I get a free months membership to my Hospitals Wellness Center along with a training session, so hopeful this will help me kick start a new routine. Going back to work has thrown me off too, I work 3 12hr nightshifts a week. Trying to figure out how to get the fluids, meals, and Vitamins in. I'm just going to keep plugging along, hope you will too! 1 cooksie reacted to this
sunshine413 343 Posted November 25, 2012 Listen everyone, we are all down huge numbers by any standard!! You are SUCCEEDING!! So what if someone else is faster!? Keep on keeping on. Trust the process. We all have stalls. Eventually that scale will move!! 4 DLCoggin, stellar313, cooksie and 1 other reacted to this
juditha 48 Posted November 26, 2012 Im 11 or so weeks out and just out of a 3 week stall- where i tired hard to stay positive. I just kept thinking that my body was probably in shock with small potions/healthy food/ exercise that it suddenly had to deal with. I put the scale a way for a week and was happy to see a 5 lb lost after that! Sometimes its hard to understand why my weight is not dropping off.. But slowly slowly it will . And will do so for u too! !!! 1 cooksie reacted to this
