sunshine413 343 Posted November 20, 2012 Most people say that weight loss is a science. In versus Out. Well, I would like to poo poo that notion since I have been stalled at the same weight for 10 days. I'm six weeks post op. Yesterday and today (days 11 & 12) I actually GAINED. What is going on here!! To legitimately gain 3 lbs, I would have to have an excess calorie intake of 10,500 calories. This is INCREDIBLY frustrating.

Dawn 42 Posted November 20, 2012 Are you food journaling? Remember that a plateau is normal and I KNOW you will get through this! Drink lots of Water. Best of luck!
slowtogo 301 Posted November 20, 2012 Sounds like Fluid gain. If you don't drink enough Water, your body retains it. Its crazy.
luvlife 43 Posted November 21, 2012 Plateau is normal for 6 weeks out. Your body is just adjusting. I know it is hard, but be patient, eat right, drink lots, and exercise. You will be losing like crazy soon:) surgeversary 7/24/12, highest weight 267, surgery weight 262, current weight
sunshine413 343 Posted November 22, 2012 Thank y'all so much!! I have regular bowel movements, and I eat right. I think each person has to find what works for him. I am trusting the process because I have put all my eggs into this basket. I know it will move again in the right direction!! It is good to hear that it's normal for 6 weeks. 1 Dawn reacted to this

Hang in there girl it will all work itself out. Your body is still probably wondering what you did to it. It will take time. Keep your head in the game and keep up the good work. music1618 879 Posted November 22, 2012 Sounds like Fluid retention to me. I have found that I will stall for a week and then have really good days. Remember your body is still trying to figure out what is happening to it. It is in starvation mode right now and it's instinct is too hold onto everything. Just let it adjust and stop worrying!
