I too am from the KC area....Hi and welcome! I am a nurse, as well as having undergone 2 c-sections, gall bladder surgery and lapband. Let me tell you from experience....the Lap-band was the LEAST painful of all three procedures. Yes it is uncomfortable....but totally worth it!

You will get through it just fine. In my experience, the gall bladder surgery was the worst of all three :)
