Molly1978 6 Posted November 19, 2012 I'm 2 months 1 week post op. Lost almost 60lbs! Very exciting for me. Loving it! BUT (and there's always a but isn't there?) I think I'm getting hungry now and it's kinda weirding me out. It's kinda hard to tell nowadays if it's just head hunger or actual real hunger. Can coffee and or fake sweeteners make you more hungry? I think I heard something about that a while back. I excersized really well this week too and I lost a pound. I didn't know it would slow down this much! lol Maybe I just need to give it time? My PCP claims that artificial sweeteners are bad for us. I have switched to stevia. But Splenda and aspartame are everywhere. I like sweet stuff. My nutritionist claims that caffeine stimulates appetite and thus to avoid it - Decaf only. Measuring food might be a good tool to use to help distinguish between head hunger and physical hunger. I am still prep but know that at some poor post op I will face the issue you are facing. Wishing you success! 1 Molly1978 reacted to this
