kiwiladydee 402 Posted November 18, 2012 Wait, before you judge or say - active lifestyle blah blah. I know I know! This is not by choice. Im not able to exercise daily because of fibromyalgia and severe Migraines (I'm on medication for both). I usually make it to 1 or 2 miles per week and a few minutes of Zumba. So I can only exercise 3 times a week. I feel like I'm doomed to gain my weight back if I don't exercise. I want to know if anyone was able to keep the weight off with just controlling your food intake? Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk
Amandabythepound 32 Posted November 18, 2012 I have fibro as well, granted I am only 12 days out, I'm walking about 4 miles a day, but not all at once, I also have found several diet tweaks online about how diet changes can help alleviate some of the fibro pain. Getting enough sleep and enough Water and enough Protein (just like a gastric bypass patient) is very important to fibro maintenance as well. I would look online at the diet suggestions and try a few out, hope this helps mylove <

Redoableme 60 Posted November 19, 2012 I'm curious about this too. I'm at End Stage Renal Disease and, long story short, I sleep 12-14 hours a day. My drs seem to think RNY will make things better, but I don't see how this will give me any more energy to start exercising.
music1618 879 Posted November 19, 2012 I have rhuematoid arthitis and exercising is an important part of this process. I know it is hard when we are in flares, but getting in any exercise will help the body. Every little bit counts, and the last thing you want to do is give into the disease. It is true that once you start exercising you will feel better, but I will admit that we all have those days where we must rest. Remember always listen to your body and let it guide you. 1 BBdoodle reacted to this
jodimc 117 Posted November 19, 2012 I have fibro as well. Aquacize is a great work out for anyone with an autoimmune disease.
