Weight Loss Is Slow

Crap. Tons of typos. But it should read. "Then one say you can't but"

With this surgery anything is possible but I'm thinking it might have been an off day. You know where everyday for months you can eat chicken and turn one day you can't buy a week later you're good. Wait a bit and try again. When you're home near the facilities though lol.

Yeah your probably right. Thank you

You are doing good. I had many stalls. Slow us better then fast & deal with saggy hangy skin. I lost it slow compare to others but I have a wrinkly tummy & saggy arms.

Hopefully if anything it will help somewhat with the skin. It's the least we can get out of a slow weight loss. LOL

Oh good ok thank makes me feel happy :) I have been going back and forth with I shouldn't of done this and hang in there a little longer. I don't like the bad days but they do happen. I hope I start losing more so I can see it and hopefully that will make it worth while. I am not good with patients either, LOL.

You are doing great. Almost 40 pounds in a month and a half seems good doesn't it? I try and remember how long it would take to lose that amount of weight without the surgery. It's hard to lose 10 pounds in a month sometimes so just remember that and I will too, LOL.

Slow weight loss might be a good thing because it is better for the gallbladder and it might enable skin to adjust more easily to the new body size.

That's a positive way to look at it, LOL. Thanks! :D

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
