Anniesmom12 181 Posted May 28, 2013 Mowed the yard....yesterday weed eating...yard maintenance may kill me!!!!! HW 312, pre-op (lap-band) 294, pre-op (RNY) 255, surgery date 2/11/13, goal weight 154, current weight 221.6 I feel your pain! But I have got to say it SO good to have the energy to do all of my yard work!! Mowing with a push mower, weeding and raking... I would have NEVER been able to do any of that last year!! It's tough work, but I am thankful for it! (burns some calories too!!)

deaddemmama 474 Posted June 1, 2013 So frustrated...had a nerve block yesterday in my hip and could walk about a mile today. I need to be gentle with myself and realize I can do what I can do each day. Oh well. Progress not perfection.
paigelarson89 19 Posted June 9, 2013 Today I walked to the store and backs. I just got the approval to exercise again after months of not being able to exercise, because of injuries. So I thought I would start slow and work me back to an hour and a half to an hour and forty five minutes. I'm preop, and never liked to exercise and its a new coping skill that I've added on to my list 2 sunshine413 and Anniesmom12 reacted to this
russianpenny 1 Posted June 12, 2013 I'm post op 10 days and able to walk about 2 miles but that is all I can do. How long does it usually take to be able to get back to normal. Before surgery I could jog/walk 4 miles.
Nel 189 Posted June 12, 2013 60 min on the elliptical
paigelarson89 19 Posted June 12, 2013 60 min on the elliptical I love the elliptical, I also do it for 60 minutes, and people who I know that exercise and are in shape don't see how could do an hour and that they can't even do it for an hour. I've finally got the all clear to go back to exercising which has been for almost 4 months or so I would get hurt, and the first injury it wouldn't heal and they thought I needed surgery, finally got that healed then my bulging disc acted up went back to pt, then I severely sprained ankle, and just today I had my last pt appointment knock on wood (knock knock) 1 Nel reacted to this
terry1118 1,274 Posted June 12, 2013 An hour?! My hubby is a body builder and he can't do more than 30 mins on the elyptical machine. :-)
madenkorea 36 Posted June 12, 2013 2799 calories burned with three zumda classes and the elliptical.
Nel 189 Posted June 12, 2013 I bought a commercial machine and I do the fat burner one for 30 minutes and then repeat. (for some reason that program will only let you do 30 minutes max. I don't know why so you have to do it twice) Tonight was my first night to get back up to 60 minutes since surgery. I've been at 30 and 45 forever! I had an ACL reconstruction in 05 and this is the only high cardio I can do comfortably. 1 Anniesmom12 reacted to this
