lmcgloon 127 Posted February 18, 2013 My gym offers 12 sessions of free personal training so today was my first strength training with my PT, and then did 30 mins on treadmill. 1 ladyspl reacted to this

lmcgloon 127 Posted February 19, 2013 Hahaha! That was me this weekend. Decided to try to be a rockstar last week and did a 45 min cycling class. Felt fine afterward but then literally couldn't walk the next day. Need to ease back into it haha 1 jess929 reacted to this
ladyspl 161 Posted February 21, 2013 My trainer had me using free weights yesterday, doing squats and lunges.....yeah in the words of Bill Cosby...JELL-O!!! Oh dear God I hurt everywhere today, but it feels goooooooood! I am actually looking forward to doing it again. Thanks to a tremendously busy schedule today and tomorrow, I will not be able to get back to the gym until Saturday.

Cecilia 201 Posted February 23, 2013 Did 31 mins on the elliptical and burned 305 It's nice to think that an hour of exercise could just about wipe out all the calories you ate for the day, LOL!
Cecilia 201 Posted February 23, 2013 Would anyone like to share how long it was before the were able to do more than just walking? I'm not supposed to lift more than 10 lbs for the first four weeks, so obviously weights and I imagine sit-ups are out... when did you start running and doing more high-impact stuff? My goal is to run the same 10M run in the Fall that I did two years ago, but hopefully weighing 80 pounds lighter!

Cecilia 201 Posted February 24, 2013 So pleased to be able to join this group "officially." I walked around the little lake by my house (1.8 miles). It was a 38 minute walk (lots of stopping for stretching). I'm looking forward to beating my time tomorrow. Thanks for motivating me! 1 slowtogo reacted to this
