TryingtobeSuperwoman 17 Posted November 11, 2012 It's sludge. I have it, gallstones and the same horrible pain you're describing. I have surgery scheduled for Monday morning - 7 a.m. This happens often post RNY ~ as it happens in people who experience rapid weight loss. The stones and sludge are made up of cholesterol among other things. See your surgeon ASAP ~ if your pain gets really bad, you get a fever, etc. go back to the ER. I'm barely able to drink and haven't really eaten in a few days. I have my fingers crossed that I make it to Monday morning ~ and for you to get in with your surgeon soon! Good luck!
