BBdoodle 483 Posted November 5, 2012 You will go thru this often when introducing new foods. Even when they are foods that are on your apporved food list. When I started on soft mushy foods... tuna was on the list so I tried tuna. Well needless to say tuna and I are not friends anymore - LOL. I knew the second I swalloed a small well chewed mouth full that it was not going to be good. Same with certain chicken... I don't know whether its the testure or what but I just cant do tuna or chicken well and I am 7 months post op !!! It is all trial and error. 1 Sharma Castillo reacted to this

BBdoodle 483 Posted November 5, 2012 what are your go to Proteins (other than shakes) what would a normal meal be for you at seven months? curious minds want to know. lol Hey Vicki... Well I am a boring eater... for Breakfast I have a 1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese and a 1/4 cup of fat free plain yogurt. lunch is either Soup, or a lean Cusine, or cheese and grapes, afternoon snack is maybe some raw nuts (almonds montly) and dinner is the same as lunch. I have my Protein Shake as a mind morning snack. Sometimes I have my Protein shake as breakfast on the weekends.
Vicki Loichinger 444 Posted November 5, 2012 thanks BB. sounds doable. I haven't had much variety on my pre op diet and even before because of an abscessed tooth. So I don't think I will mind being a "boring eater" too. better safe than sorry. When I was first banded seven years ago, tried a few new things that didn't not sit well. some of those things I won't eat to this day. not worth the pain, even though i have no saline in my band, my mind still remembers the pain. Scrambled eggs never went well with the band, so I won't be surprised if they don't with the RNY
TinyMamiOf3kids 1,280 Posted November 5, 2012 I can no longer eat real egg. Mushy food is better then pure liquid.< /p> 1 Sharma Castillo reacted to this
