shrinkingDEE 60 Posted November 4, 2012 I'm treating my mom and myself to a 4 day weekend escape to the Dominican Republic next weekend. I just booked everything and I'm excited and then BOOM! It hit me.... What am I going to EAT? I've been there quite a few times and I don't recall too many healthy Protein options. I just don't want to upset my pouch so far from home and I don't really want to push my limits. Anyone had to deal with vacationing after bypass??
mrsallenrn 39 Posted November 4, 2012 I have been on vacation two times since my surgery in May. Both times for a week. I took my own Protein Bars and Protein powders. I ate with my family everytime except Breakfast. All the breakfast items were carbs and fat! I just went and ate before. I would usually just pick off everyone's plates what I could eat. I found lots of seafood options and took off any breading. It is hard and you do have to put effort in to it, but stay stong and you got it!

kiwiladydee 402 Posted November 5, 2012 As long as you are not allergic, I think you can never go wrong with seafood. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk 1 babygirl901 reacted to this
