I'm 3 1/2 weeks out & I've never been so fatigued in all my life. It is all I can do to drag myself out of the bed. I have no energy at all. It is being to get me depressed. Not sleepy just fatigued. Any advice?

Being tired is normal. Your energy will return soon

I'm glad to hear this is normal. I was feeling bad thinking I was just suddenly very lazy. I feel like I need a nap but I'm not sleepy. I get all my Vitamins and Protein in. I exercise some but should do more. Just tired. I'll just begin my third week on Thursday and can begin puréed foods. Maybe that will help some. Glad to know the feeling will pass.

I am finding when I get all food requirements and hydration requirements + Vitamins, I am less fatigued. Fatigue is normal after surgery as it takes a long time for the anesthesia to exit the body. Plus our bodies need time and energy to heal.

I, too, am glad to hear this is normal! I hit 4 weeks out yesterday and almost as if a light switch was hit, I woke up exhausted and unable to get ANYTHING in. Despite doing well with Protein, Water, and Vitamins. I'm focusing extra hard today on my liquids. If I can at least keep up with them, I pray to not fall into dehydration.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
