k.buys 9 Posted November 2, 2012 Has any one tried chinese food? I have been craving it now for a couple of weeks, but i'm not sure it's doable and if it is what to get. I'm sure the Sweet and Sour items are out. I'm 14 weeks out from my surgery. If any one has any ideas I would appreciate it. Kim
babygirl901 173 Posted November 2, 2012 I've eaten it on several occasions. Just really small portions compared to before surgery.

Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk You can eat Sushi! that makes me happy - I loooooove sushi, I was thinking I would have to give it up completely (or only have sashimi without the rice) and also yay Chinese!... I hope I can eat noodles at some point... 1 stellar313 reacted to this
slowtogo 301 Posted November 3, 2012 Rice doesn't work for me well, even now. Some can eat raw fish, some get sick with the shortened intestines. I can do a few pieces of sashimi with only one piece of a roll that has rice.

PaulB 346 Posted November 4, 2012 Rice is full of carbs. We have a saying at group support it goes ( if it's white it's not right) white bread, white rice, potatos, Pasta. All bad for you to many carbs and your body will stop breaking down Fat and just work on breaking down carbs that take so much longer to break down. It's better to work on getting in Protein and veggies. As for Chinese I love it and have had it 1 time since surgery 13 weeks ago it was fabulous all 2 oz of it. The only bad part was it was so sweet it raised my blood sugars really high Surgery Anniversary 7/30/
slowtogo 301 Posted November 4, 2012 What does rice do to you guys? I've eaten it. It sits in the stomach and doesnt pass well. Feels like a rock- and will even swell if you add Fluid.
