I'm scheduled to have this procedure and some type of scrapping of my walls to slow down our stop periods done on Nov 12. I had my RNY on Oct 15. Has anyone had this done?

No just scrapping and burning your uterus walls it burns the lining out

It's this like a partial hysterectomy?

They put coils in your tubes to create scar tissue and close your tubes up. The scrapping and burning of your walls is to help stop your periods or make them light.

Yes I'm done having children. I have 3 ages soon to be 20, 18 and 9. Don't want to slip up and create another decade of kids. I'm 37 so I'm sure I don't want anymore, but I see my friends keep having them.

See the grand kids is what really scares me, lol. But I can handle that so it's time to burn the bridge and let the youngins take over, lol.

Well I had the Essure and novacare ablation today. Little cramping, but the good thing is I was under general anesthesia so I felt nothing during the procedure.

I wanted the novasure but after meeting with the doctor. He gave me a long reason why I shouldn't have it & wanted to put me on birth control depo to make me fat I guess. I better get a second opinion. Yes done with kids tubes tight & tired of period.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
