Oh my,i went to make grocery shopping this morning, and is like been empty cause my shopping cart looks caind a empty from the way i see it from before, all i do is grab some woodies for my son, like Cookies, cupcakes, fruits and all he likes,i put my face like a sad dog looking in the window, then i got home, and when i put all the bags inside, and look around all those woodies and i started to cry and talking to my self"i can't eat those woodies anymore, cause they will harm me,even that i went to seminal, even that i assist to my nutricionist and physiology apt.before my surgery ,i though it was so easy to sit down and talk to them and make them feel that im ok and ready, after i experience this week a dumping syndrome, everything was so different ,cause i never thoug how bad i get by eathing bad food, plus never in my life i was to take 8 pills (vitamin ,ect..)and thats for the resy of my life, what i get my self in too?"i ask to my self.but then i realized that makin this step is just the beginning,of a new change of habits of how to eat good and healthy.

7- right now, depending on when was your surgery, you still probably have major food restrictions. I am at 6 months post surgery, and had horrible problems with strictures. Two additional procedures and ALOT o vomiting, zero support at home, but now I can eat most foods, just restricted amounts. The weight is slowly dropping off, the compliments are nice, and I feel better than I have in years. Blood tests are normal, and everything seems to be running well. So, one step at a time. We WILL get there!!

Number 7 we all have gone though what you are feeling. And it will go way when your standing in front of the mirror and you see the change, or someone tells you your looking HOT. Then you remember why you did this to your self and understand you can live your life and not need JUNK food.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
