Uniqueladybug 80 Posted November 1, 2012 Just wanting some input... How come we can eat Soup with veggies and Cereal with milk but we can't have a small sip with or right after meals? What's the difference? Jess...Surgiversary 9/19/
TryingtobeSuperwoman 17 Posted November 1, 2012 I asked myself the same question. There is, apparently, a difference in the amount of Fluid in those two scenarios. Drinking before leaves Fluid in your pouch which can drain the food with it as it passes from your pouch. Drinking after flushes your pouch and whatever you ate with it. Either one doesn't allow your body time to begin the process of digestion ~ not to mention leaving you feeling hungry again which leads to eating more. stellar313 26 Posted November 1, 2012 My instructions for starting on foods said no Soup. I didn't ask why, but I figured it had to do with the combo of liquid and solids. For cereals it says with a small amount of milk. I hope to be able to have soup at some point. I would really miss it.
