just woke up a little while ago thanks to that disgusting drink we had to take to clear out our attend. and now I'm trying to fall back asleep knowing my alarm is going to sound off in 5hrs for me to shower and head out for my surgery. really getting more nervous and excited as time gets closer... best of luck to anyone that has had their date or has theirs to come. I haven't been on here lately since I've been dealing with my truck being stolen and totaled right before xmas.

had my surgery yesterday. I'm feeling great. no pain at all just that pressure on top of the stomach that they said we would be having. been out for my walks with the nurses, foley is out and monitors are gone. just have my iv and can start my sips of Water in a few minutes. can't wait to have my own bed though. thank you everyone for the best wishes that came my way. and wanted to send my own luck to those that are to come with their surgery.

I never had the Cath, thankfully. The dry mouth has been so extreme cant wait to take sips!

they let me have sponge sticks to keep my mouth moist. plus I brought lip balm. don't forget to use your spirometer so you can keep the lungs expanding

I am also a Dec surgery. The 18th at Stanford University. Doing well but needed a transfusion due to blood loss. Still lightheaded/lethargic due to the anemia. Good spirits other than mild depression after following my wife into Whole Foods and realizing how much life has changed... Wishing you all a happy holiday season
