Wannabepintsized 13 Posted October 30, 2012 I feel like I've been waiting for this forever! I had to quit smoking, which by all accounts is the best thing I've ever done. Then it was all the hoops, and ridiculous "medical supervised weight loss", what a joke. So now I have a date, I'm just so worried the psychologist will call my surgeon and tell him, "you know, she didn't seem crazy, but I know how to make her crazy!" or the sleep doctor will say, "we need you to come back for a month long sleep study..." every day drags into weeks. 49 days. I wonder if my surgeon would mind if I camped out at his office??
NurseTAB 65 Posted October 30, 2012 Waiting is so hard isn't it, especially when you know how much it's going to change your life. Enjoy your time of being able to gulp Water that's what I miss the most.

LosingItForMe2011 320 Posted October 30, 2012 Nows the time to prepare your home, your family and your mind for whats to come. Get all the Vitamins, Protein powders, Water etc that you're going to need after the surgery. Read some good RNY books (suggest Weight Loss Surgery for Dummies book - it was great), do more research, try lots of shakes and Protein foods, get a nice blender etc. it will help you pass the time and get you prepared. Good luck and congrats! 3 snow25, PaulB and CHOSEN72 reacted to this
Wannabepintsized 13 Posted October 31, 2012 That Dummies book was recommended by the psychologist. I'll have to get it. The surgeon sells Chike Protein Shakes. Anybody try that? This forum is really great! There's a support group here in San Antonio once a month, but this is anytime anywhere.
