wonderwoman75 118 Posted October 30, 2012 I'm at the highest weight ever for me and I feel as if I angling to break my ankles I'm so heavy. I also feel that if I don't have surgery soon I'm going to become crippled. Anyone else feel this way?
LosingItForMe2011 320 Posted October 30, 2012 When we start feeling like that is when we start looking for answers....RNY is one of them. Have you started that journey with a surgeon? You're in the right place for info.
wonderwoman75 118 Posted October 31, 2012 Yes in fact I go next week to a seminar. I had back surgery and I cannot exercise like I should.
Shannalee 65 Posted November 4, 2012 You're not alone. I hurt my knees in February and they haven't healed because of my weight. I had shots and PT but in reality my weight has done me in. I try and workout but pain is all I get. However, I have found that being in the Water helps. I still hurt but I need to start something. Had my seminar last week and exercise seems to be key. I know I'll be in pain for a while but I try to remember why I'm doing this and know that in the end the pain will be no more. When you meet with your surgeon and nutritionist you'll figure out what will work. Sent from my Vortex using RNYTalk
wonderwoman75 118 Posted November 4, 2012 I hope so, it's just so frustrating I have been dealing with the problem with pain for two years and I'm tired of it.
lili2012 85 Posted November 4, 2012 I felt the same a year ago & started having knee problems as well. I had RNY 10 weeks ago and I haven't taken any medication for my knee ever since. It's getting much better with every pound off. I lost 60 lbs and still have 120 to lose. I also work out at the gym 4 days a week & feel great Sent from my Galaxy S III using RNYTalk

Shannalee 65 Posted November 4, 2012 I hope so, it's just so frustrating I have been dealing with the problem with pain for two years and I'm tired of it. I know that it can be frustrating and I'm right there with you. Waking up this morning I looked like I didn't have knees because they were locked and I was in pain. It seems that in this process to becoming healthier our patients level is tested. Remember to look at your handle name and know that you are wonderwomen and you can do this. We are all here for you and will be here long after you are healthy. The day will come when you wake up and there is no more pain. That you are able to walk longer distances and still have the energy to go even further. This time right now might feel like a million miles away but you will get there. Keep the faith and we all are with you during this time
