Psychologist

Recommended Posts

So today is the start of my visits to the Team. I am starting with the Psychologist. Not sure what to expect.

Can anyone share some light on this for me?

Never been to a shrink before.

Mine was really sweet. I had to do both a written text and had to talk to her. For me she went over my reason and my goals. She wanted details like when do I think I will be at my goal weight. What do I have to do before, during and after surgery. She also touch a little bit on my support group and what my normal life is like. She was wonderful and if my insurance did not change to one she does not take I would so be back. Good luck and the number one thing I can say about it is don't be in a hurry. Give yourself time. They have to be there all day and I know if I feel rush then I always forget something. On the test be honest. If issue come up you want them to happen now so they can be addressed.

Yay!!

That went so well! He is more than happy to recommend me for the surgery.

Now just 3 more specialists to see. It feels so good to be on the road with this.

It does feel good to feel like you are moving ahead by getting these things done, then just waiting. Glad it went well.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
