lorrid 5 Posted October 22, 2012 I had surgery on September 10,2012 Started my journey at 305 Surgery weight 295 Current weight 261 I am so glad to feel just like normal. But less of me. I am down 43 inches and loving it. I can tell I'm really weak in my legs and have started to do some extra exercise to help build some muscle. I just took family pics with my kids and I see the loss but I still hate my picture. Hopefully by Christmas I will be down another 20 lbs and will be able to see more of a change. How is the everyone else doing with September anniversaries ? 4 olensoos, rabrijumo, ngannnan and 1 other reacted to this

teresab9712 8 Posted January 13, 2013 I have viewed this site several times, however, just now registered and looking forward to participating in conversations. My weight prior to pre-op liver reduction diet was 220. Weighed in at 207 on surgery date of 9/7/12. The first few weeks were tough, had difficulty drinking and eating. Dehydrated, got fluids, and things slowly improved. Dr. put me on soft foods at 2 weeks due to not being able to tolerate Protein shakes at that time. I am now just over 4 months post-op and my current weight is 155... Just 5 pounds from the goal set by my Dr. My major concern now is will I be able to stabilize the weight loss. I have an appointment with my nutritionist next week and hoping for some guidance. I realize that I am beginning to look gaunt and frail, particularly in my face and upper body... at 55 yrs old the wrinkles and skin sagging are really appearing. People are constantly asking if I am sick! I debated on having the sleeve procedure rather than the by-pass since I was not extremely obese. However, due to chronic liver disease my Dr. and I decided the by-pass would be best for my liver problem. Would love to hear from any of you with helpful info or advice. I still struggle with getting in my Protein and I really have to make myself eat. Never thought I would have this problem!!! I am sure hunger will return...just wondering when???
