Is anyone else 6-7 weeks post op? What are you able to eat? Are you able to get all of your Water in? How much have you lost? What surgery did you have?

I had Roux en y Sep. 10th and have lost 46lbs. I'm fine with creamy food but moist soft Proteins are not so easy. I chew and chew and then I'll accidentally eat too much and vomit. Getting in all of my water is difficult as well when I'm sooooo busy at work.

Anyone else with these problems? I'm thinking of using a crockpot today to make my chicken as moist as possible. =)

Hi there

I had my op on Sept 7th. I had the gastric bypass(roux en y). I have only lost 13kg, am feeling a little frustrated because I am standing still for a while now!!

I do get about 1,5 liters of water minimum......so not bad I suppose. Can only stomach ice water....so I freeze my water till little pieces of ice in it!

I am pretty good at eating most proteins.....eggs make me a little sick, and struggle a little with not so moist chicken. But otherwise i dont have much problems!!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
