Jamie Welch 1 Posted October 15, 2012 Im 5 months post-op and I havent been able to eat any dairy since my surgery. Im wondering if other people are having this problem and how common it is. Also, I extremely miss sauces and Condiments which make me ill. Anybody have any advice on products that are lactose-free AND sugar-free. Im dying for a salad! slowtogo 301 Posted October 15, 2012 Have been eating salads for at least two months. Eat a small amount, chew it good, and see what happens.
BBdoodle 483 Posted October 15, 2012 I have been having a problem eating my cottage cheese and yogurt in the morning. After I have Breakfast about 2 hours later I am running to the bath room. I also had my gall bladder removed 10 wks after RNY surgery, my doctor thinks I may be a bit lactose intolerant. Nothing else bothers me except for cottage cheese and yogurt and sadly I love both of them

Jamie Welch 1 Posted October 20, 2012 I tried the lactaid pills for lactose intolerance and it has worked amazingly. I havent had any problems with ranch, yogurt or milk. Yoplaid also started making lactose free yogurt but of course with all healthy things it is more expensive. I would definitely try the lactaid pills if you have problems with dairy. You can take as many as you need in any given day.
