PaulB 346 Posted October 14, 2012 The liquid diet part is just the warm up for what's coming. Just kidding. By the time my surgery date came I was so tired of Jello and liquids and then had to be on them for 2 weeks after surgery. 9 more day will fly by good luck on your surgery you will be fine Surgery Anniversary 7/30/
Sharma Castillo 9 Posted October 15, 2012 Thanks I am just worried I ate to much fruit or yogurt!
PaulB 346 Posted October 15, 2012 Your new pouch will hold about 3 oz and over time will stretch to hold around a cup. So some times we feel like we can eat more but remember you need to stop from over eating Becuse it takes 20 minutes for the pouch to tell the brain that your full. I have learned to slow down and eat slow take small bits don't drink 30 minutes befor and after. This you should already know. The most I portent thing I can pass along is try to get your Protein in and Water. In the early stages after surgery don't worry so much about calorie counting try to keep your carb count under 60 g and your Protein around 80-100 g a day. And the weight will just fall off. And listen to your doctor I'm down 62 lbs and haven't been this light since high school and I like the way I look and you will like the way you look it just takes time. Hang in there and be tough Surgery Anniversary 7/30/

Sharma Castillo 9 Posted October 16, 2012 Good luck you can do it!! I am lucky that I will only have to do 5 days before surgery It is Crazy how all pre-op diets are different etc. I have to be on it for 14 days prior and I'm on day 7. Today was easier because I stayed busy all day.
theby_88 72 Posted October 16, 2012 I keep trying to remind myself that. LOL... When I want to cry I will just think of you and how you have to be on it for 14 days. It is better that you get to have those other things but it is still hard to eat he same stuff all day everyday. Hang in there. We are almost at the finish line! Me to girl! You got this.
