Vicki Loichinger 444 Posted October 13, 2012 Star please don't be discouraged. Your body is just adjusting to the changes and where you may not have lost in weight you have probably gained in muscle. Just keep doing what you are doing and the scale will move. It isn't going to happen over night. And you are going to have days and maybe even weeks where the scale doesn't move, them boom, it will drop five pounds. But each day that you exercise, hydrate, eat healthy, get your Protein in you will feel stronger, healthier and the loss will come. If you can don't weight yourself for a few days and just do what you are doing and don't let the scale be your slave. You can do this and you will be glad you did. Big Hugs to you. Shonabear 107 Posted October 13, 2012 And don't forget when the weight stalls you probably are losing inches. Praying for you. Sent from my SGH-T989 using RNYTalk
luvlife 43 Posted October 13, 2012 There will be many stalls, try not to get too frustrated. It doesn't mean this isn't the answer.... The stall will break. I was in a stall for almost 3 weeks in the beginning but then it broke and I started losing a pound a day. Sometimes it helps to change up your diet and exercise for a few days. Eat a few more calories and exercise with more intensity. One of my stalls broke when I did a physical fitness assessment for work (had to push myself really hard). The next day I lost 4 pounds. Your body is still healing and might be in starvation mode. Just be patient and try to stay away from the scales for awhile. Good luck! surgeversary 7/24/12, highest weight 267, surgery weight 262, current weight
kiwiladydee 402 Posted October 14, 2012 You have to remember the larger you are before surgery the faster you lose - starting off. The closer you get to 200 it starts slowing down. If you feel like you are starving, that is not a good thing. Your body will hold onto the food. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk
