st.ephanie 16 Posted October 8, 2012 Starting on day 2 post op, I have a very hard time laying down and getting to a sitting position from laying down. It happened again today- it feels like everything on my left side is on fire and there's a ripping feeling. Aside from the pain, the burning, ripping sensation scares me. Is anyone else experiencing this?
HamDan 61 Posted October 8, 2012 As scary and painful as it is, its normal. Keep walking and stay on-top of your pain meds! Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk
luvlife 43 Posted October 8, 2012 I definitely experienced this. To the point that I didn't lay down for the first two weeks. I slept in the reclined. This is very normal, it will get better. It took me approx 2-3 weeks, but it got better. Just hang in there! surgeversary 7/24/12, highest weight 267, surgery weight 262, current weight
BBdoodle 483 Posted October 8, 2012 The pain is all normal... It killed me to get up from a lying down position. I kept moving as much as possible, it hurt for about a week post op to get up. Each day is a little less. Hang in there !!!
st.ephanie 16 Posted October 8, 2012 Thank you so much! I'm definitely trying the re liner today and am glad this particular pain is normal. I've been so lucky that that's the only issue I have had so far. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!
