DrMomFlrs 22 Posted October 29, 2012 7 days post op I had a "mental" hunger where I just wanted to feel the texture and taste the flavor of REAL food! Then, I got a slight empty stomach feeling. But, like someone else said earlier, it's NOTHING compared to the starving feeling from pre-op. If anything, the "mental" hunger can be harder to handle. After all, there's only so much excitement I can conjure up for my Protein Shakes, three times a day. :/ 1 melonpie05 reacted to this

treetoplisa 5 Posted October 29, 2012 My surgery was 10/10/12. Weighed in at 214.5 preop. I'm feeling really good. Not skinny yet and not sure how fast I will get there. At 206 this morning, 18 days out. Seems kind of slow going. Just trying to follow the program. No problems at all, thank goodness. Am trying to be be active. Glad I have your company on the journey. Our surgery weight wasn't too far off either, cause I was 219 and now I'm 209. I gained 2 pounds then went back down on that 209 the next day....kinda crazy! treetoplisa 5 Posted October 29, 2012 I took the full four weeks and had to add another due to the logistics for follow up appointments. My husband is having his surgery tomorrow morning. I need the time to just get into the swing of taking care of myself in this new fashion! I either get all my Protein in or all my Water, but have yet to do both. Vitamins are a work in process!
