I'm having one of those weeks! I go to see my dr for 3 month next week and really wanted to be down 60#--I've come to the realization it's not going to happen. I've lost 50# since surgery but still feel behind <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' /> RNY 10/23/12

50 is great! At my 3 month, my Dr. said that 50 pounds at 3 months is what he expects so you sound like your doing great! Remember your building muscle too! :) Good luck!

I am down 40. I am discouraged, however I started a new job last month and I swear I'm taking up residency there. I decided the other day to leave Golds gym and join planet fitness since they are 24 hours. Then I have access. I am just happy to be able to eat salad again. When I had my Lapband, I could barely pass salad. Now I have it. Everyday..... You ladies are looking fab! Keep it up!

Hey everyone, how we all doing? Has anyone had any dumping yet?

There's a multitude of things I can't seem to keep down: Shrimp, chicken breast or other dry meats, rice, bread, fried foods, and high amounts of sugar. But I'm not too worried about it. Just trying to make ol' "pouchy" over here happy. Ha ha! :)

I have to say I am doinv great! DOS 10/3/12 220 down to 169 i can wear a size 12 sometimes 10. I feel great. I shop a lot LOL! But only low prices. I am hoping to get down to an 8. I never thought I would feel this way about myself. A guy at work says I even walk differently. My husband can't keep his hands off me. Exercise is my friend now. But best of all I can wear skinny jeans and my boots zip all the way up.

Omg your doing great!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
