Ellie_Grace 271 Posted October 8, 2012 I started with fruit at about 2 1/2 months out and eat fruit at least once a day. There is no fruit I can not eat and enjoy having something other than Protein. I also map out my food intake on Myfitnesspal before I even start eating, so I know I what I can eat ( I have pretty much figured out the amount I can eat at a time by now, although sometimes I can eat less and Protein is always first) and always ensure I eat the correct level of protein. My doctor forcefully reminded me to eat fruit and veggies as well and to not only eat protein as this is not healthy either. Try to maintain a balance with a focus on protein first but do not forget the veg and fruit part of your diet. I have not had every kind of fruit, just to clarify, but I have had necatrine, peachs, grapes, apples, pears, plums, apricots, banana, strawberry, other berries, lemon but no oranges or other citrus. NO melon (was warned to stay away from watermelon by doctor) which is fine since I hate watermelon anyway. So far I have had no reaction to any fruit and ate skin and all. But each person is different so try each one, a little bit at a time, to see what will work for you.

RoundedRed 52 Posted October 9, 2012 I was cleared for fruit at the puree stage - 2.5 weeks out of surgery. I've had apples, nectarines, plums, and cantelope so far. I try to have a little fruit every day - usually as an afternoon snack. I haven't had any problems so far - I'm 6 weeks out, on solids, eating skins and all.
