I have a beautiful red dress that I just love I would like to be in it by April of next year. Of course I am still waiting for approval but I am hoping I can still have surgery this year.

After surgery I went out and bought a expensive top and that was my inspiration to get into it by the end of summer and I did !!! Keep that dress out where you can see it every day. Its nice to have something to look forward to... it keeps you on track :)

I am a pack rat and have been lugging the same collection of different sized jeans for years! Pre-surgery I sorted ALL my clothes by size and put them in those bags you suck the air out of. It is always fun to get rid of the big clothes and back into clothes I haven't worn in over 10 years. I shopped off the rack at the limited this weekend!!!

Thanks bb doodle I am keeping it very close I wis everyone on this journey the very best of luck. The one thing I like about this site is the understanding we are all in this together. It is hard to talk with people who r thin or never had a weight problem they truly do not understand,

Does this mean I should keep the size 7 pants hanging up

& not folded in the draw? I'm a size 11 now but need 14 pounds to goal so diesnt look like I'm going to fit in size 7 :(

Yes! Even if I hit a weight loss plateau...toning changes how my clothes fit. Different brands size differently.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
