Maestra62 1 Posted October 7, 2012 Hi! I am glad to have found a site specific to weight loss surgery. I have been on many weight loss forums where we are judged. I have been told "You took the easy way out" too many times. Grrrr... I had surgery on July 20, 2005. I went from 261 to 111 close to overnight. We couldn't find the "off" switch. It was very scary. I was called in by my boss. People had come to him thinking I was Anorexic. Nice! My doctor and I agreed that I needed to put some on, but that was difficult. Now I'm up to 160 and want to lose 30. It has been up and down, but the good news is that I'm still down 100. I can lose 30. I just need some ideas. I am thinking about going back to our basics for awhile. Does anyone have ideas? My personal info: I am a teacher. I am divorced with a 20 year-old son. I am into music, movies, concerts, travel, Alaska, Las Vegas, NFL, Fantasy Football, roller coasters, amusement parks, Internet research, coffee, science-fiction, Star Trek, street fairs, and doing things with my son. Thanks for reading this. I look forward to knowing you! Nancy 1 Lori Rehrer Himes reacted to this
Vicki Loichinger 444 Posted October 7, 2012 easy, just want to slap them upside the head. Even with a great weight loss like you have had, there is nothing easy about it. You will get so much support here. I am pre op waiting for a revision from Lap band to RNY what type of surgery did you have?
Maestra62 1 Posted October 7, 2012 I had Roux-en-Y. I was on the low end of the BMI scale, but dang! I looked like a skeleton, I guess. I'm going to do Protein Shakes instead of food from our school cafeteria. It's time to get on track. Good luck with the lap band.

LosingItForMe2011 320 Posted October 7, 2012 Maestra - Sounds like you already have a plan on getting back to basics. I think every now and then it's good for us to do that actually. Drinking shakes instead of the cafeteria food is definitely a great start. It will definitely help to shrink the pouch again too.
