Uniqueladybug 80 Posted October 6, 2012 Not sure what I really expected but this is not it! I feel bad the majority of the time. I'm not getting enough Fluid or Protein. My goal was to be by the book, but it's so hard! I know it will get better, I just hate feeling bad all the time! The thought of eating makes me nauseous. Nothing tastes good anymore unless it's really tart(lemonade) or really acidic (ketchup.) Jess...Surgiversary 9/19/
kristy3k 1,133 Posted October 6, 2012 Jess I promise it does get better!!! Just hang in there and follow the program. It is tough to go through this. Its almost like a drug addict or alcoholic giving up drugs and alcohol... we have to detox ourselves away from the one thing that made us fat!! In 2 weeks you will notice a huge difference. Just keep taking your Vitamins... walking , drinking and getting Protein in no matter what. I had to switch to a plain Protein Drink.. that I add to my milk because the taste of all the ones I tried was so sweeeeeet... still to this day makes me want to gag!! Hugs your way!! mellissaamber 9 Posted October 6, 2012 I'm glad I'm not the only one. It's hard to take your Vitamins or let alone eat when you feel so nauseous I guess it can't last forever, right? Does anyone have any suggestions
LosingItForMe2011 320 Posted October 6, 2012 ladybug it took me a while before I could look at food without being nauseous as well. It does get better. I have good days and bad as far as getting all my Water and Protein in....depends on a lot of things. But get your Vitamins in, do the best you can with your water and protein. If both are really low...call your doctor and nutritionist. They can give hints on what to do to get it in. Hope you feel better soon. 1 Uniqueladybug reacted to this
luvlife 43 Posted October 7, 2012 As far as the nausea goes, my Dr prescribed zofran. It works very well! surgeversary 7/24/12, highest weight 267, surgery weight 262, current weight
