Stephanie 49 Posted October 6, 2012 I have not had the surgery yet but I had this problem when I was in my teens. I went to the doctor and had blood work done and I found out that I had high prolactin levels which has to do with my hormones. 1 Cheryl Barfoot reacted to this

LosingItForMe2011 320 Posted October 7, 2012 doesn't sound related to the RNY surgery...you might want to call your PCP to have it checked. 1 Cheryl Barfoot reacted to this
kiwiladydee 402 Posted October 9, 2012 I have not seen this as a side effect from anyone on this site. I think you should get this check out, may not be WLS related. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk

Debbiebydesign 93 Posted December 8, 2012 I work in a hospital as a mental health counselor. I know some of the female patients have had that reaction to some psych meds (antidepressants, antipsychotics, antianxiety.) If you are on any meds, report it to the prescribing doc and see if it could be that.
cnocon 36 Posted December 8, 2012 I had this happen to me and, as mentioned earlier, it was high prolactin levels caused by a benign brain tumor. Ask your doctor about getting an MRI if its high prolactin, because catching these rumors can save you from blindness, among other things.
Debbiebydesign 93 Posted December 8, 2012 ...my brother also had a benign brain tumor, near the pituitary. His caused infertility because of the prolactin production. It can cause lactation.
