chewable and liquids will be your friends. Any capsule that can be opened and put in a small amount of liquid works too. you just need to check with pharmacist if this can be done. When I get antibiotics I always ask for liquid.

liquid Tylenol for a headache or buy jr strength chewable (watch the sugar)

when I have a bad cold I drink Robitussin liquid to keep chest loose.

There are ways to keep from having to swallow those horse pills and risk getting them

stuck.

I've had no problem swallowing pills since surgery. However, I had to take an antibiotic about 3-5 weeks out for something totally unrelated. It was too strong. So I ended up taking a shot instead. I've read that some antibiotics are too strong for your pouch.

i wondered about that, I have wondered about a lot of meds that might HIT us differently.

It was awful!!!!! I couldn't see my pcp (who I love) or the usual nurse practitioner when I went to the appt. So I had to see the new one. I TOLD her clearly that I had recently had GP and she assured me that the antibiotic would be ok. SHE LIED<SHE LIED<SHE LIED. lol. I took it at work, and I felt so bad I had to leave.

My doc told me no pills for eight weeks! I've already had to change one med and I'm not adjusting well to it! I really hope this is all worth it and that I made the right decision...

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
