Ugh Need Advise And Encouragement

Recommended Posts

I am struggling so much right now. I am at a stall on the scales, but it seems like my clothes are still getting looser. I am waking up with headaches every morning and having a rough time getting rid of them. I had to stay home twice this week as they were Migraines. Finally I am soooooo tired. I am close to falling asleep while driving and it is hard to concentrate during work. This week I have thrown up several times and the diahrea is not fun. Just getting over a bladder infection ( my third since the surgery)

Answer to most questions

Surgery date June 5 2012

Lost 63

Play soccer 3 times a week

Water intake about 64 - 80 oz a day

Protein intake 50- 60 a day

Have stopped multi vitiman because it makes me throw up.

The slightest bump and I bruise - worried people are going to start thinking my hubby is beating me.

If this was not enough it is the hormonal time of the month ( hystorectomy in 09)

I am also starting to eat things that I know I should not

See my surgeon on Monday for 4 month post op.

Like I said I need ideas and encouragement!

First of all great job!!! Ur making great progress????. Maybe ur getting sick or have some type of bug. As far a the no-no, i think ur fustration with what is wrong is making u lose focus. I think when u got to ur appr ur doctor will have some ideas. I hope this helps a little and i hope u get to feeling better soon.

Seems like you're doing great getting your Water in and Protein. I would suggest getting a blood test and see how everything is working out. I heard getting one every three months us a good idea. Especially if your bruising easily.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
