The spot is still there! I'm going to try to "run" over to his office around lunchtime tomorrow and have him take a look at it. Not easy to do in Houston traffic!!

jsrico- that is awesome!

Terry- What is the spot you are referring to?

This may be a dumb question...besides the surgery, Tuesday meetings, and fills, are there other services they offer? Not that the list is not enough.

I'm a bit of a slow loser I think.. Banded 11/28/06 current weight loss of 39lbs. That's very slow I think. I planning on attending one of the classes... I need to call to find out when the next one is.

By the way my sister and I were both banded by Dr. Spivak.. He and his staff are wonderful. My sister was banded 2/15/05 she lost 102 lbs..she did a commercial for him.. that's exciting :)...

Hi Terry ~

Were you able to see Dr. Spivak? If so, what did he say?

Hi ClynnC ~

I am a very slow loser too, and it is so discouraging! I was banded on 1-12-07 and have lost about 30 pounds. Dr. Spivak seems pleased with my loss and tells me all the time that losing slow is better. Let's hope so!

No, Lynn - I wasn't able to get over there on Thursday. The weather was horrible and besides, when I called to make sure he was going to be there over the lunch hour they said I might have to wait quite a while....that he was really busy. No way I could do that. I think the spot is fading now, but when I get a chance, I will go in and bring the pic with me.

Terry ~ I totally understand! I have been fortunate that I have not had to wait very long at his office, but I have read that others have. I always try to schedule my appt right after lunch, before they get behind. I truly hope the spot is nothing to worry about!

We leave for a 7 day cruise tomorrow and I am starting to stress! I put off starting to pack until today because I usually start too early and then spend so much time on it. Hopefully we'll end up with what we need on the ship! :)

I hope I am able to use my brain and not over-eat while on vacation this time! Even after the last fill, I think I can still eat too much. Maybe when the kids go back to school I'll try to take it up a notch and get a tighter fill and see what happens. I would really like to drop some serious pounds, but am not seeing that happen yet. Maybe I'm just too impatient . . .

Take care ~ I'll be off of here until at least next Sunday the 29th. And then I'll be doing laundry for a week I'm sure (teenage daughter!) . . .

before I go back for a tighter fill, I'm going to try to eat healthier. I find myself eating things that I'm not suppose to eat. It's really hard for me ot discipline myself. I started working out again yesterday. I'm going to try my best to stick to it this time. Wish me Luck

I had another fill yesterday--i'm now up to 4cc's.....I'm pretty restricted.. I hope this works.. Wish me luck.. Maybe instead of being a slow lose I'll be a mediocre loser.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
