Expat 27 Posted October 3, 2012 I understand what your going thru, isn't it great. I'm down 64lbs with still more than a 100 to go and things are hanging on me like a tent, so we are going to get a little bit at a time for the comming furture. I am looking forward to Feburary when we are going to Spain for a couple weeks when I can go out and buy new shorts and summer shirts and a swimmimg suit for the trip. So long size 58. I am keeping a couple outfits and suit in the big size just for insperation in the future.
kristy3k 1,133 Posted October 3, 2012 I have been afraid to clean out my closet for that reason. I have like 8 things that I rotate and wear. The rest are just huge pieces of clothing hanging there to make it look like I have clothes. My workout clothes hang on me, my tshirts look like dresses. I have 49 more pounds to go and I just dont want to buy anything.... I know I can go to consignment and thrift stores but hate to..... 2 JustJenn and purpleamy reacted to this

Baker_gurl 119 Posted October 3, 2012 I can't wait until I start to notice big changes in my clothes! Some clothes that were too tight fit better, but I'm excited to start giving clothes away because they are too big! It's been a while since that has happened! JustJenn 542 Posted October 3, 2012 My aunt text me today and asked when I got through my closet if I can give her my work cloths. I laughed because I'm afraid of cleaning my closet I will have like nothing to wear!!! I have been rotating a few things too. My old work cloths I have to hold up. I don't want to look at an empty closet! .... Never had this dilemma before. Love it Surgery 7/25/
Ellie_Grace 271 Posted October 3, 2012 Guys go buy new clothes at the thrift store. Wearing lose baggy clothes does nothing for your self-esteem and makes you lose out of the awesome feeling of feeling great in the new you!! I bought clothes at the thrift store prior to surgery and getting into them and wearing new smaller clothes is the best motivator and image builder. I wont wear too big clothes at all now, I rather limit my clothing to a few things than look like a bag lady (Like I used to be since all my clothes were too big) Thrift stores are cheap and you can find cheap nice stuff. I feel so much better about myself and being in nice looking better fitting clothes makes all the difference to seeing the changes in the dropping weight. Try it... do not wait until you lose all your weight, it is not worth it. buy a few things in each size as you are able to and enjoy being the new you. Wait until you get to your goal weight/final weight to buy brand new clothes but clothes that cost 2 to 3$ each for the in between sizes is so great and made all the difference to me. Wearing bigger clothes makes you look heavier than wearing clothes that fit, so at least have one or two outfits that fit. I was so excited because now I have just started getting rid of my 20W clothes because I realized they are too big and I only wear my 18W and 18. That means I have gone from 26W to 18, and I have none of the too big sizes left in ,my closet, except for the two outfits I kept to show the drop in size later. 6 2ndTimesTheCharm, JustJenn, berniec and 3 others reacted to this
