BBdoodle 483 Posted October 2, 2012 Don't feel bad.... I'm almost six months post op and have lost only 41 lbs. I keep on telling myself that it is better to loose slowly rather than fast but I am in a stall right now. My clothes are getting looser but the scale is not moving. I am dissapointed but still hanging in there hopefully I will start to loose again with my increased workout schedule and intensity.
rabrijumo 140 Posted October 2, 2012 But how do you feel? Are you exercising? Are clothes looser? Wait you have reduced 24 lbs so that not none right? I would suggest you not get hung up on numbers but focus on changing habits utlizing the tool you have fought so hard for to achieve healthy eating and better health. The wt will leave soon and on the bright side slower means more chance for your skin to rebound. Keep up your Vitamins so you don't lose hair etc. good luck it will come! 3 judid, Amazeyem and DLCoggin reacted to this
Lissette2022 53 Posted October 2, 2012 Don't feel bad like everyone says we all lose it differently, I've lost 22lbs in 4 wks. Personally I wish it were more... But being patient is key! DLCoggin 1,788 Posted October 2, 2012 24 pounds in five weeks is almost five pounds a week. When was the last time you lost five pounds a week? Do you really want to lose 10, 15, or 20 lbs a week? Not healthy, not realistic, and not sustainable. Maintain five pounds a week for six months and you'll be almost 150 lbs lighter! This is a journey, not a marathon. And it starts with realistic expectations. You're doing absolutely great! Celebrate your success! Stay focused on following the protocol, stay active, and stay away from the scales for a week and even two if you can stand it. You're gonna love the new you!! 17 DrMomFlrs, judid, Sadlerjt and 14 others reacted to this

michelecaples 224 Posted October 3, 2012 And I'm totally irked. 5 weeks post op and have only lost 24lbs. Feel as if all of this was for nothing. I'm so disappointed!! Sounds like success to me...losing is losing. Ask your nutritionist or surgeon if your loss is on track and if not maybe they have tips for you
dadsangel 2 Posted October 3, 2012 Thanks everyone. I will call my surgeons office and see what they say. Very frustrating but I'm sure a lot of it is being impatient too. I appreciate all of your feedback. Cheers to all! 1 DLCoggin reacted to this
rabrijumo 140 Posted October 3, 2012 One thing if you don't mind what are your stats? I think you might lose slightly slower if your total to lose is < 150. Those like myself with over 200 to lose will/ might( god I hope) lose a bit faster?

Sent from my N860 using RNYTalk Averaging 800 calories a day at eight weeks out, any weight gain is most likely Water and will quickly disappear. Walking will almost certainly increase your weight loss and reduce the time it takes. It also will help you maintain your goal weight. Lots of options - early morning, late evening, lunch time, neighborhood, treadmill, nearby park, mall - whatever fits with your schedule and your preferences. Start slow and work your way up over time. Even 20 minutes will make a big difference. Set a goal of at least three times a week, four is even better. If you stick with it, you may find that it quickly becomes addictive! 3 LosingItForMe2011, babygirl901 and Sadlerjt reacted to this
droppingitlikeitshot75 35 Posted October 3, 2012 You might be losing in other places such as inches! Did you do measurements on arms, waist, hips, thighs etc before. Check those every so often. Those are some non-scale victories especially if clothes are getting loser as someone previously stated.
