Has anyone else started thinking about what it would be like to be thin before surgery. I'm thinking, is this really going to happen and, is the insurance going to approve me. Am I really going to be able to tell u guys, I had my surgery?

I thought surgery will fail for me to be honest. Once the weight started melting I was like damn! This surgery works & adding exercise & eating healthly is important.

I didn't think I would be thinner. I didn't know I could go back 15 years ago. Lmbo

your not alone, I've been looking at clothing in smaller sizes and just wonderig with it's going to be like to walk in any store and find something that actualy looks good to wear, and cost much less that where we shop now. Exciting!

As long as you follow your surgeons plan it will work. But it will take some time for your brain to catch up to the weight loss. I still go into the plus size section looking for clothes, forgetting that I can now wear regular sizes.. even JUNIORS!!! So it will happen. Just believe in yourself and how much you want this and you'll do great!

I guess I just want this so much

I know how you feel!! I keep thinking that when is the ball going to drop!! I know I am getting closer but I can't help feel something somewhere is going to throw a wrench in it. I go today for final weigh in and then off to the waiting game...

It not going to take that long, I turn in my papers to insurance on Monday and was approved on Wednesday

Just be persistent

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
