NursCEO 0 Posted February 2, 2007 Hi, my name is Carrie. I am from Hutto, Texas. I am scheduled to be banded a week from today in Monterrey with Dr. Zapata. I am really nervous and would love to hear from people who have been banded by Dr. Zapata. I have a lower bmi, but also have a heart condition, so my surgery is a little different. I am a nurse. I have been in the OR a million times, but never as the patient. Thanks in advance for the advice and support! Carrie
JDru 0 Posted February 2, 2007 Welcome Carrie and congrats on your upcoming surgery. Dr. Zapata wasn't my surgeon, but I know some of his patients are here and I've heard good things about. Good luck on your journey and keep us updated!

MyKdsDad 1 Posted February 3, 2007 Carrie, welcome to the forum. When you have a question, ask away, someone will give you an answer. Hutto is a nice place. I passed thru there on my way to the ROT rally in Austin last year.

Gean 0 Posted August 30, 2007 I am from Round ROck and a respiratory therapist, my initial consult is with Dr. Paula Oliver on 9/5/07, SW BAriatrics. Being in healthcare for many years, you see and hear of so many errors and unplanned recoveries..but I feel this is a last resort for me and am up to the task. I am not afraid to take anti-gas, anti-emetics, and pain killers, so hopefully those will cover any problems I might encounter. Any words of advice?
