Of course, I'm not typical for the length, but just trying to give you an idea. Slow and steady girl, take your time!
Uniqueladybug 80 Posted September 29, 2012 I'm ten days out and still have a horrible pain to the left of my belly button. Sorry you're feeling bad... Hope you feel better soon! Jessica
jodagee 15 Posted September 29, 2012 It is probably the internal stitch. I woke up on the 14th day and it was gone. I used the waist girdle i got at the hospital and it really helped.

LosingItForMe2011 320 Posted September 29, 2012 everyone definitely is different and pain tolerance levels are also different. I can say my pain lasted 3 weeks but, I had an infection in one of my incisions which caused it to last longer in that area. As long as your incisions aren't red, hot and puffy it's probably pain for regular reasons.....they sure move alot in those incisions when doing our surgery. The left side incision that is a little bigger than the others will take longer to feel better. If you're really uncomfortable...no harm and having the doc take a peek

lilbee 10 Posted October 1, 2012 I am also five days post op and have been wondering the exact same thing. The pain killers they prescribed knock me out cold and mess with my dreams so I tried switching to extra strength Tylenol hoping it would take the edge off, problem is it works but not if I have to move around too much which is also no good because we are supposed to walk walk walk when we are awake. This has definitely been one of the biggest struggles so far. I think what I'm hearing is that we should remember we just had major abdominal surgery and to let it take time. That's so hard when you are probably used to going a mile a minute on any regular day. Pain management is something the educational classes should really touch more on pre op. 2 Uniqueladybug and bakawaka reacted to this
