Bert_n_ernie 60 Posted September 26, 2012 I've been using Dannon Oiko's for my shakes. Does anyone know of a brand that's not so overpoweringly sour? New Life Started 07/24/
JustJenn 542 Posted September 26, 2012 I just started liking Greek yogurt for the non fat and high Protein I kept trying to find one I can tolerate... I found the oikos ones and can actually eat it. I never put them in a shake.... Will have to try Surgery 7/25/
Vicki Loichinger 444 Posted September 26, 2012 the yogurt i have been eating pre op (and due to an abscessed tooth which was pulled today) is called carb master. it is only available at Krogers or maybe Ralphs if you have one of those. Low fat, low carb, low sugar I have been adding about a teaspoon and a half of sugar free pudding mix and a scoop of unflavored Protein Powder and eating this two or three times a day. Good source of Protein and feels like you are eating some pretty fancy desert. not horribly sweet though. I will probably hate it after surgery, but right now it is my best friend. Especially with this tooth problem. You could probably do the same with the greek yogurt to tame some of the tartness,

cjoyce 187 Posted September 30, 2012 Excuse me for just letting this fly outta my mouth but I got some fage regular....added some splenda, vanilla & strawberry preserves and it tastes like ass. Steer clear of this horrible stuff....or either stear your car into my driveway and ill send you home with some. 1 Bert_n_ernie reacted to this
slowtogo 301 Posted October 1, 2012 Hmmm...perhaps a little harsh? I have only had the fage with fruit...sugar comes from the fruit so its not quite as big a hitter on the sugars. I would imagine if you are blending it yourself, the taste could become imbalanced. But...seriously, many at work like it, and there are two other girls with gastric bypass...so mine is not the only opinion. But, it does have less sugar than the competitors, so maybe you prefer it sweeter than I.

jenneliza 257 Posted October 1, 2012 I love smoothies and like them sweet. My fave sweetener to add to them is stevia and a little light oj. My mix ins are Greek yogurt, spinach, Protein powder, berries, and sometime bananas or almond butter.
jldeville 61 Posted October 1, 2012 I tried the Chobani ones and found them to be very tart. I threw them out. 2 babygirl901 and Bert_n_ernie reacted to this
