bigwaugh 59 Posted September 26, 2012 Does anyone else get light headed or get a head rush after bending over or squatting? My mom had the surgery too and said it took a couples of years before she felt like it was gone. Anyone else know?

JustJenn 542 Posted September 26, 2012 I was feeling all the time first month.... I don't know how far out you are but it didn't last long for me. Surgery 7/25/
bigwaugh 59 Posted September 26, 2012 Well i am 4 months out and down 120 lbs. My BP has been good enough to come off my meds. I never had it before the surgery but now it's all the time. Just really feels weird. I want to go back to firefighting but it scares me to think something might happen if i have to squat or bend over.
Wps2 57 Posted September 26, 2012 I get that all the time now when I get up too fast or bend over and swing up too quick. Never ever felt light headed as well before this surgery. My blood pressure has always been ok even before surgery so I know it's not that. I take Iron chewable just as a preventative measure because that has always been fine. I am 2 months out, it's just been happening for the past 3 weeks.
jennamommy 80 Posted September 26, 2012 I am 8 weeks post op and I get it all the time. I tell myself " don't pass out don't pass out do t pass out" my head spins and I get light headed then the room kinda goes dark. It's kinda scary. When I go see the Dr I will mention it to her. Wish I knew for sure what its from.
Bert_n_ernie 60 Posted September 26, 2012 I do it all the time. I am not anemic. I believe it is low blood sugar. I always had trouble keeping my sugars up pre surgery and now its even worse. I have noticed if I drink something sugary I don't do it as bad. New Life Started 07/24/
