To be honest no I didn't research him I was referred to him by my PCP I read a couple of things on him on their website it's him a 3 other doctors that does the surgery and specialize in others things but now I'm going to look into what I need to do to change

I am glad you got to speak to someone. At this point I would have spoke to the janitor to get through LOL. Hopefully all will get taken care of fast and hopefully they can earn your trust.

SO MY ADVOCATE JUST CALLED AND SAID THAT THE PSYCH EVAUL WASN'T ACCEPTABLE BECAUSE IT WAS DONE BY A LCSW AND NOT PHD SO MY INSURANCE DENIED ME AND SAID THEY WON'T PAY FOR MY SURGERY UNLESS I GET THE RIGHT PSYCH EVAUL, SO MY SURGEON OFFICE HAS A PSYCH AND THE VISIT ONLY TAKE 15MINS AFTER FILLING OUT A LOT OF PAPER WORK BUT AT THE TIME I DIDN'T HAVE THE MONEY BUT NOW I DO, SO IS THIS A EASY FIX OR WILL I BE WAITING MONTHS ?

Once you get in to see the psych and she writes up her report your advocate can resubmit. Shouldn't take months unless the psych us booked up like mine was and took me a couple months to get an appointment. I go October 3rd for my psych evaluation which takes all day about 5 hours. Suppose to take some kind of test then will talk to her. Then she grades the test and writes out her evaluation which can take a day or two for her to do

this psych has a website where you have to watch about 8 videos and fill out everything online so when you see her it's in and out

So I still can't get no one at my surgeons office my patient advocate goes straight to voicemail all week' date=' I called my insurance company and they saying my case is on hold waiting on a decision and they told me to call my surgeon office and tell them to call in cause they have a line that only doctors call and get detailed info and I told they my doctors office don't communicate with me and they was like sorry you have to try to get thru to you surgeons office cause they have detailed information, wow this is crazy all I can do is wait on them to call me when they get ready I guess smh[/quote']

Holy crap! I hate the run around. I'm one of those crazy b***ches that would drive up to them & say well we gonna get this process going or should I pull you out of that desk.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
