You might want to seriously consider switching surgeons. Every day you don't get a return call is one day an attentive surgeon's office could have you closer to your surgery.

Can you speak to anyone besides the patient coordinator? Tell them. I know it's kind of far away but you may need to just go in and talk to them

Yes I ask for the person that's over the program but all I can do is leave a message and I talk to the girl at the front desk and she say all she see is that there still waiting

Ask the front desk person what they are waiting for. Tell her that you talked to your insurance and they told you to call an have their office contact them ASAP

Any new news?

Well I talk to my surgeon nurse she said that she was going to get to the bottom of everything and she will call me back tomorrow cause my advocate has my file messed up she even had down dates that she talked to me that she didn't and clearly one of the dates was on a Sunday. I write down every time I call and every time I talk to her witch I rarely talk to her. My insurance company gave me a ref # to give to them and told me to tell them someone from the office need to call so I did so hopefully I get some answers this week I will keep you guys posted

I'm glad you got some info. I still don't understand why no one ever answers the phone. You should be able to talk to someone I don't care what time it is. If your calling 3 or 4 times a day you should eventually get an answer. I don't know if I would want this doctor to do my surgery. What if your not feeling well or have questions. I would really think about this. I know you want to have your surgery but what about your after care. I'm mad and its not even my doctor. I wish you the best.

I expressed that I was having second thoughts about the surgery cause I'm scared the same thing will happen with my after and the nurse assured me that I will not be dealing with my advocate for after care she said that where she comes in at and there's always someone on call for emergencies.she say my advocate is there to get me to the point up to surgery. She say she's going to get to the bottom of everything cause what's the point of having an advocate if mine is not communicating with me. So I'll keep you posted or the out come

I agree u need to think of ur after care, this office sound very irresponsible. Maybe you should speak with the director or office Manager to see can you get some answers. Did u research this surgeons background.

Maybe you should just get another surgeon. I'm feeling some kind of way about the surgeon. He is not worth ur health.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
